Aging Division seeks public comment

The Wyoming Department of Health's Aging Division will hold a public meeting in Casper today to gather input on the state's four-year plan to better serve the elderly population of Wyoming.

The state's goals include increasing the number of older people who have access to health supports and increasing those who stay active within the community.

All are welcome to share concerns about the services provided to the elderly of the state from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Outreach Building at 951 N. Poplar St.

Fire Rock Steakhouse opens

The Fire Rock Steakhouse and Grill, located at 6100 East Second Street, officially opened for business Monday.

The restaurant is managed by Dale Volker, former manager of the Casper Country Club.

The 8,500-square-foot facility has seating capacity for 200, according to Dan Guerttman, project manager at the McMurry Business Park. It also has three private dining rooms.

The menu features steak, fish, pasta dishes, ribs and a wide range of salads and appetizers.
