Crash causes outage
A truck crash led to a power outage in Casper on Monday.
The outage began at about 10 a.m. when some power lines were brought down due to the accident. Some of the lines ended up in the North Platte River by Robertson Road, said Natrona County Sheriff's Lt. Stewart Anderson.
Just under 2,400 Rocky Mountain Power customers were affected by the outage, said company spokeswoman Margaret Oler. Power was restored to all customers by 12:44 p.m.
Repairs were still under way Monday afternoon and were expected to be finished overnight.
Man stabbed in bathroom
A man was stabbed in the back at Sidelines' Sports Bar as he went to the bathroom later Friday, according to police.
The man was urinating when he felt a sharp pain in his back. No one has been arrested for the incident.
Police seek information
The Casper Police Department is asking for the public's help to solve a burglary at a business earlier this month.
Someone broke into the Circle D Resources building on the 500 block of South Walnut Street sometime between July 1 and July 5. Several locked doors were pried open and a digital camera and video camera were stolen.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at (307) 577-TIPS. Tips can be left online at www.crime-stoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may earn a reward of up to $1,000.
