Air passengers in Casper will soon have access to more news about flying from one Windy City to another.
A redesign of Casper/Natrona County International Airport's Web site will include more information about United Airlines' Casper to Chicago direct flight and the new Allegiant air flight to Las Vegas, airport manager Glenn Januska said Wednesday.
"The redesign will have a lot of the same information that we have on there right now, but will also have a lot of other info, too," Januska said. "It will be a fresher design with additional information, and will be designed in a way so we can expand the site as we have needs for adding more to the site."
Currently, the site - www.iFlyCasper.com - includes little information about the new flights. The site's main graphic, a map showing Casper and the airport's destinations, only includes Denver, Salt Lake City and Minneapolis.
Chicago and Vegas are also missing from the links under the "Book a Flight" button on the site, but the daily Chicago flights can be found in the site's "Track a Flight" section.
The redesigned iFlyCasper.com site will be more comprehensive all around, Januska said.
He said the "Track a Flight" option on the Web site will be updated to include additional information on the status of flights in-air and better graphics for people who want to know precisely where a flight is at any given time.
The site will also include other pertinent information about the airport, including available real estate and rental options.
"We have a lot of leasing opportunities of space - we lease for wedding receptions, conferences, things like that," he said. "We'll have lots more on the industrial park, the business park, and also other features."
According to a representative from Adbay.com, the Casper-based design company contracted to complete the revamped airport Web site, the new design should be finished within about four weeks.
