Man pleads guilty in decades-old molestation case
In a case that dates back three decades, a Cheyenne man pleaded guilty Thursday to indecent liberties with a child as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
In exchange for his plea deal, prosecutors agreed to drop three other charges against 65-year-old Bobby T. Edwards. The deal also means he won't be sentenced to prison, according to a copy of the plea agreement. Other sentencing options remain on the table.
The victim in the case came forward in July 2007 and alleged Edwards molested her in incidents spanning from 1974 to either 1979 or 1980.
Edwards had initially pleaded not guilty to the charges, which were filed in June.
Burglary suspect pleads guilty
A Colorado man charged in connection with a liquor store robbery and area break-ins pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to commit burglary.
David Hammond, 20, entered the plea in Natrona County District Court. Police arrested him and three other people following the robbery of CY Discount Liquor on Aug. 28. Authorities suspected him and others of also being involved in a string of burglaries that took place in Casper last summer.
A sentencing date for Hammond hasn't been set.
