Five people were taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning on U.S. Highway 20-26, just east of the Natrona County International Airport.

The identities and conditions of the people weren't immediately available.

The accident happened about 10:30 a.m. as an Alsco textile service truck pulled onto the highway from a stop sign at Six Mile Road, said Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Marshall Wyatt.

A gray Chevrolet Suburban traveling east on the highway collided with the truck. The impact spun both vehicles. A Ford F-250, also traveling east on the highway, tried to avoid the crash, but collided with the Alsco truck. The Ford was hauling a trailer with four snowmobiles.

The Alsco driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected and ended up under the front bumper of the Suburban, Wyatt said. The Suburban's driver wasn't wearing a seat belt either, and had to be extricated from his vehicle.

The three people in the Ford weren't seriously injured.

All five people involved in the crash were taken to Wyoming Medical Center.
