This weekend's wet weather has delayed ongoing construction on US 30/ US 287, part of a commonly travelled route between Casper and Laramie.
The weather caused construction crews to cancel two days of scheduled work on 11 miles of road east of Medicine Bow.
"It's a pretty significant project. It starts a bit south of Medicine Bow, and we've been working on it all summer. We're paving now," WYDOT area spokesman Ross Doman said.
Crews will be paving on Saturday from daylight until dark and travellers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes east of Medicine Bow and pilot cars will be used, the release said.
The University of Wyoming Cowboys football team is scheduled to play the University of Las Vegas Rebels at 1.p.m. WYDOT officials are encouraging commuters to allow for extra time if they plan on making the trip to the game. Doman said the Oct. 10 game against New Mexico could be affected too.
