Casper hosts international tour operators

Approximately 40 European tour operators and approximately 200 regional representatives will be in Casper today through Friday for the Rocky Mountain International Roundup.

The strategy behind the RMI Roundup, according to a new release, is to provide an opportunity for representatives of summer and winter businesses, destinations and attractions to meet face to face with European tour operators in a setting that encourages relationships and business contacts. Participating states and communities include Wyoming, South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, and regional gateway cities of Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Denver. Roundups are sponsored by the state tourism department that is hosting it.

District robotics team places

The Natrona County School District Robotics Team, comprised of eight Kelly Walsh High School students and two Natrona County High School students, finished 10th of 54 teams at the Regional Robotics Competition in Denver.

The students spent six weeks in January and February designing, planning, building, trouble shooting, programming and finally, shipping the final product to Denver.

"This is an extremely arduous, frustrating, and often late-night task," said coach Chad Sharpe in a district release.
