Volunteer victim advocates sought
Residents interested in assisting local crime victims are encouraged to apply to become victim advocates with the Casper Police Department and the Natrona County Sheriff's Office.
Volunteers will join full-time employees helping both in the office and in the field, with time commitments varying according to availability.
Applications are available are available from the police department or sheriff's office, both located in the Hall of Justice, 201 N. David St. They must be completed by Feb. 10.
In addition to the application, people interested in volunteering must pass a background investigation and oral interview, and they must be available for a 40-hour training program that starts Friday, Feb. 24 and continues the next two weekends.
