County gets back to business
The Natrona County Commission is returning to its regular meetings and work sessions after a couple of weeks of conducting evaluations of department heads.
Tuesday's regular meeting made up for lost time, with a three-and-a-half-hour session dominated by public hearings about land access, conditional use permits and lot size variances.
At 4 p.m. today, the five-member commission will hold a work session - allowing discussions but taking no formal actions - with reports about the upcoming United Way campaign, the library, and the county's planning and zoning department. The meeting is on the first floor of the county courthouse.
Commissioners also are scheduled to discuss the sale of some county-owned property, a proposed hearing of the board of equalization, and early bid packages for the courthouse expansion.
The five commissioners compose the county's board of equalization, which reviews property owners' concerns about property valuation and taxation.
