Heavy metal legend Judas Priest plans a stop in Casper on its 2018 tour, according to a Monday announcement from the Casper Events Center.
The band is set to perform April 10 at the Casper Events Center while touring to promote it’s new album, “Firepower.” The ‘Judas Priest: Firepower 2018 Tour” will feature singer Rob Halford, guitarists Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Scott Travis, according to the announcement.
The band’s four-decade career began in the early ‘70s in Birmingham, England. Judas Priest this year has been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Judas Preist’s landmark albums include “British Steel,” “Screaming for Vengeance,” and “Painkillers.” The band has performed venues from Live Aid in 1985 to a 2011 American Idol appearance.
Judas Priest is known as one of the first metal bands to exclusively wear leather and studs — a style “embraced by metal fans throughout the world,” according to the announcement.
