An inmate was recently found dead at the Natrona County Detention Center, according to a media release from the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Gus Holbrook said George E. Mudge, 63, was found unresponsive in his bunk about 6 a.m. Friday.

Holbrook said foul play wasn't suspected. He noted that Mudge had a history of health-related issues. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

No information was provided by the sheriff’s office regarding Mudge’s charges.
