The Natrona County Coroner's Office has identified the Casper man who died Thursday in a crash outside Kelly Walsh High School.

Anthony Mead, 33, died after his van slid off of 12th Street and and struck a wall in front of the high school at approximately 8:45 a.m. He was transported to the Wyoming Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Thursday that the van had been traveling at a "high rate of speed" and that road conditions could have also been a factor in the crash.

The crash and ensuing investigation temporarily closed part of East 12th Street on Thursday.
