A Wyoming man died on Sunday following a crash on Interstate 25 near Casper.

John Gallatin, 35, was driving a Subaru north on Interstate 25 just east of exit 185 when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer in the road, according to a Wyoming Highway Patrol report.

Gallatin over corrected and the Subaru went into a slide. The car ran off the right side of the road before rolling three to four times. The Subaru came to a rest on its wheels, according to the report.

Gallatin was partially ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

A passenger was thrown from the vehicle during the rollover and hospitalized with serious injuries, according to the report.

The report indicates that seat belts were not being properly used. The report does not list any further factors that led to the crash.
