The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning found 11 pounds of marijuana and marijuana derivatives in a Natrona County home north of Evansville.

Jeffery Hallock, 58, was arrested in relation to the suspected marijuana cultivation operation and is awaiting charges, according to a sheriff’s department news release. He will be charged in a Monday afternoon court appearance.

Investigator David Hulshizer said he could not yet specify what marijuana derivatives were found. He did say that the derivatives would allow users to consume marijuana without smoking it.

Sheriff’s deputies also found evidence indicating marijuana was being grown at the location, including grow lights and planter pots, according to the release.

Sheriff’s deputies also found a firearm at the residence.

Hulshizer also declined to specify the exact location of the arrest, except to say that it was in the Quartz Circle area. Quartz Circle is about a 10 minute drive from Evansville.

Hulshizer would not say what led the sheriff’s office to request a search warrant for the residence. That information should become available by the time charges are brought Monday.
