Casper police say this man robbed a 12th Street gas station on Saturday night.

Casper Police Department

The Casper Police Department has released a description of the man suspected of robbing a Sinclair gas station at 12th and Melrose streets.

The robbery took place shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday.

A police spokesman described the suspect as a 5 foot 6 inch, 160 pound white man with a red beard. Police estimated the man to be in his early twenties. He was wearing two hooded sweatshirts -- a maroon one on top of a black one -- jeans with faded knees and black shoes.

Police began investigating the incident as an armed robbery on Saturday. The spokesman was unable to provide a description of the weapon on Monday morning.

The spokesman asked anyone with information about the incident to call 307-235-8278.
