A thief robbed a Casper gas station on Saturday night and fled the scene afterward, police said.

No one was injured in the robbery, which took place shortly before 8 p.m. at a Sinclair gas station at 12th and Melrose streets, said Sgt. Lyle Berg.

The incident is being investigated as an armed robbery, but Berg said he didn't have information to release on what kind of weapon may have been used.

Police have not released a description of the suspect, who remained at large.
