Strut your mutt set Sunday
This Sunday, the Casper Humane Society (CHS) will host the 3rd annual Strut Your Mutt dog walk in Washington Park. This fundraising event will help in the care of the more than 105 animals currently housed at the CHS animal shelter, and the public is invited to assist in the endeavor.
During the past few months, the CHS has seen a tremendous increase in the number of animals brought into the shelter mostly due to lack of pet-friendly rental housing. During the first two weeks of September alone, more than 30 dogs and cats came into the shelter. Annually, the CHS cares for more than 450 animals, some of which need medical attention and/or spaying and neutering. The funds raised at Sunday's event will help cover these expenses.
Registration begins at 1:30 p.m., and the walk starts at 2 p.m.
The public is encouraged to participate in Strut Your Mutt by collecting pledges prior to the walk, then bringing their dogs to the park to strut their stuff and possibly win prizes! Entry and pledge forms are available at the Casper Humane Society, located at 849 East E Street, or via the organization's website ({M7www.chswyo.org/events). The forms can be turned in at the registration table the day of the event.

Funds that are raised will be donated to the Children's Organ Transplant Association in honor of Grace, Gavin and Melissa.
