All prescription and over-the-counter medicine will be accepted including, but not limited to inhalers, ointments, and liquids. No sharps products will be accepted.

The Rx Roundup will take place at the Flu Vaccination Clinic held in the Administration Building Gym at Casper College from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008.

Help with angel tree, adopt-a-family

The Salvation Army Angel Tree and Adopt-a-Family program needs community involvement.

Each year at Christmas time, The Salvation Army provides food and toys to families in need. Food and gifts are also provided for seniors who may be homebound or have a greater need during the holiday season.

The Angel tree allows for businesses to house a tree filled with the names of children and seniors who are asking for clothes and/or gifts. Those who work at the business or customers may take an angel tag, purchase the suggested item and return it to the business.

In the adopt-a-family program, an individual, family or business works with The Salvation Army in taking on a whole family that is seeking help during the holidays. Those who adopt a family provide gifts and/or food for the family and The Salvation Army links the two together.

If you or your business would like to be involved in either of the programs, call Capt. Terrie Wilson at The Salvation Army, 234-2002.

Fall music fest helps COTA

The Casper Music Teachers Association is sponsoring the third annual fall music festival to benefit the Children's Organ Transplant Association on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. The festival, open to all piano students, teachers and community musicians, will feature solos, duets or ensemble numbers.

The festival is a result of the tremendous response to the programs, "Music for Melissa", which were dedicated to Melissa Berg in 2006 and the Ronald McDonald House Building Fund in 2007. Although Melissa is responding well to her liver transplant which she received in December of 2006 there is a continuing need for financial support, as she will need medications and follow up.

This year we are re-naming the fall festival "Children Helping Children." Two other Wyoming children, Grace Albright and Gavin Maxwell, are waiting for transplants. Funds that are raised will be donated to the Children's Organ Transplant Association in honor of Grace, Gavin and Melissa. Pianists from around the state are invited to participate in the program and encouraged to seek pledges for the fund. Each person will receive special recognition for their participation.

Please contact Arlene Osborn, CMTA president if you, or your students would like to participate in the program. Phone numbers are 262-2939 or 436-8754 or by email at {M7amusic@vcn.com
