S.A.M.E. Music event
* Aug. 4, 7 p.m., S.A.M.E. Music will host a records compilation release concert at the American Legion, 4200 Legion Lane. The concert will feature 20 original songs from 10 local bands and a compilation CD will be available for $6. VFW breakfast

Wyoming Symphony Orchestra event
* Aug. 19, 5 p.m. The Wyoming Symphony Orchestra will team up with the Casper Rockies to host Pops in the Park at the Mike Lansing Field. The event will feature an outdoor concert by the WSO with selections such as the Music Man, the Star Spangled Banner, and Casey at the Bat, and later the Casper Rockies will take on the Missoula Osprey.
