Troopers hold auditions in Laramie

Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps begins its 2007 marching season by holding its first audition camp Friday, Nov. 24-Sunday, Nov. 27 for >anyone interested in marching the 2007 season with the Troopers. Camp begins with registration on Friday at 6 p.m. at Laramie Junior High School and lasts through Sunday at 11 a.m.

Camp cost is $40 and $25 additional for anyone needing a ride from the Trooper Center to Laramie. Those who would like a ride to camp should be at the Trooper Center no later than noon on the 24th. For more information, call the Trooper office in Casper at 472-2141 and/or go to

It is requested that interested persons call the office or send an RSVP from the website to facilitate plans for food and transportation.

Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps is a competitive marching organization for young men and women between the ages of 15 and 22 who play brass or percussion instruments or who are interested in color guard. Winter camps are held monthly to practice playing and marching skills, learn the show music and rehearse, followed by a week or 10 days of all-day rehearsals after school is over in the Spring.

The Corps travels and competes throughout the United States for nine weeks, returning to Casper in mid-August.
