* May 10, 10 a.m., Tour the Historic High Plains Arboretum with Scott Skogerboe. The High Plains Arboretum was previously the USDA High Plains Horticulture Research Center and was responsible for developing many of the trees, shrubs and flowers enjoyed today on the High Plains. Medicine Cabinet Clean-up
* May 10, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., the town of Jackson and the Jackson Police Department are encouraging the community to clean up their medicine cabinets at the same time they are spring-cleaning their homes and cleaning up the town. The police department will be sponsoring a "pill drop" in conjunction with Rotary Club's Spring Clean-up Day. Arabian Horse Association

Work Zone Safety & Traffic Control
* The Work Zone Safety & Traffic Control Workshop will be held those anyone who works on roads and streets. Wild Horse Adoption
* May 16-17, the Wyoming Bureau of Land Management and the Wyoming Honor Farm will host a wild horse adoption in Riverton. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. for previewing the horses. A free clinic will be hosted on Friday to discuss the Honor Farm's gentling program, horse handling and trailer loading from 1-3:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Adoption begins at 10:a.m. on Saturday with a lunch concession available. Approximately 30 horses in a variety of colors; all horses have been haltered, led, trailered and have had their feet handled. Law Enforcement Memorial
* May 16, 11 a.m., Governor Freudenthal has proclaimed May 16, 2008 as Wyoming Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Day. Parent-education seminars
* The Wyoming Children's Access Network provides parent-education seminars for divorcing, separated and never-married parents. The seminar is provided monthly in Casper, Cheyenne, Cody, Gillette, Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Rawlins, Rock Springs, Sheridan, Torrington, and now Afton, Pinedale and Worland on a quarterly basis, and provides information about the impact of parental conflict on children and teaches the parents skills to help with the difficult transition. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and other adults close to the children are welcome to attend as well.There is a nominal fee for the seminar that may be waived upon request, based on need.
