The eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in the southeast part of the state reopened Saturday morning following a snowstorm, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

A spokeswoman says the westbound lane opened at 9 a.m. and the eastbound at 11 a.m. following the storm this week that caused numerous semi-trucks to jackknife.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation reports that much of I-80 between Rawlins and Cheyenne has strong winds and slick spots.

In some sections the speed limit has been reduced to 50 mph, and oversized loads are restricted.

WYDOT also has advised motorists to not haul light trailers on I-25 between Laramie and Walcott Junction, on I-25 between Cheyenne and Wheatland; and U.S. 30 between Laramie and Rock River.

The National Weather Service is predicting sunny weather Saturday in the Cheyenne area with a high near 50 and winds up to 30 mph.
