Your frequently asked questions answered
Welcome to the new Trib.com.
We have redesigned our website to make it easier to navigate and find content. All of the content users have come to depend upon is still here, but we think you'll be able to find it more quickly and easily.
We have moved a few things around. Below are a list of frequently asked questions to help you find links and information quickly. If you still can't find what you are looking for after reading through this FAQ, please email me, the Online Community Coordinator at jake.mitchell@trib.com.

1. I come here for news. Where is it?
Our new navigation bar holds a plethora of content-related delights. Clicking on the arrow on the 'News' tab will grant access to pages called 'Wyoming,' 'Casper,' 'Wyo Legislature,' 'National' and several more. The Wyoming and Casper pages will contain all of the stories that you would find in our print and e-editions. Wyo Legislature will be populated mostly while the Legislature is in session at the beginning of each year. Other news pages may have a collection of both locally produced stories as well as wire feeds from The Associated Press.
2. I can't find the obituaries. Help?
Obituaries, as well as many other announcements, are located in the Notices tab. Click the arrow by 'Notices' to find obituaries, wedding announcements and community event news.
3. I see Sports, but something's different. What gives?
We've streamlined the sports pages to better fit the realm of Wyoming sports. For instance, whenever there's a story about any college athletics, it will appear on the college sports page. This is the same for the University of Wyoming, Casper College and all the rest.
High school sports, as before, will be located in the high school section, but check out The Blitz on Friday nights when our coverage goes interactive with live blogs and realtime updates of prep scores and stats.
The Local sports page will be narrowed down to be professional Wyoming teams such as the Cavs and the Ghosts.
The only other change to the sports pages happened back in June when Trib.com unveiled rodeo.trib.com, a site for all stories rodeo-related including College National Finals Rodeo coverage. Look for updates there throughout the year, not just in June.
4. What are tags and how do they work?
The new Trib.com is built around the idea of tagging and keywords. Every story and story component, such as photos, charts or videos, will be labeled with keywords. At the bottom of the story, you can click on any of those keyword tags and the site will create you a page of content associated with that tag.
For example, clicking on the tag "Dave Christensen" will bring you every photo and story that he is mentioned in.
5. It seems like everything about commenting has changed. Where do we start?
We're turning a new leaf with the way Trib.com deals with comments. It's important to have community interaction and discussion, and these changes will make that easier and a bit more accountable.
In order to comment on a story, you'll need a TribTown account. At the top of any Trib.com page, you'll see some links to help you log in to the Trib.com community. First, register as a tribtown.trib.com user. Then you'll be able to click 'Login' from any page when you want to comment on a story.
Once you've logged in, click on the discussion tab for any story and post away! As stories are now electronically monitored, your post should appear almost immediately.
As far as commenting goes, these rules always apply:
*Keep it clean. Avoid language that is obscene, vulgar, lewd or sexually-oriented. If you can't control yourself, don't post it.
*Don't threaten to hurt or kill anyone.
*Be truthful. Don't lie about anyone or anything.
*Be nice. No racism, sexism or any other sort of -ism that degrades another person. PLEASE TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK, and forgive people for their spelling errors.
*Let us know if it's getting out of hand. Please use the "Report Abuse" button on offensive comments.
6. Have you done away with the Features sections?
We actually have relabeled Features as 'Lifestyles.' Find The Weekender, Enjoy!, Open Spaces, Home & Garden, Health and Live Well Wyoming under the Lifestyles tab.
