Editor:
Recently Leo Sanchez wrote a letter saying that I had it all wrong ("Fox New gets it right," Nov. 1). That he had never undergone torture training while in the military. Well, Leo, you got me. The military started to train pilots to undergo and stand up to torture during the Vietnam War. Since then a great many of the military receive such training.
Then, Leo, you were disparaging about my many college degrees. Gee wiz, Leo, I'm sorry that you as a former teacher in our school district feel that college degrees are bad. Maybe this tells us why you seem to have your history "facts" so wrong, so many times.
However, Leo, this all still goes back to how you never seem to bypass a moment or chance to praise the idea of Americans torturing prisoners. I'm sorry!
Once again, Leo, this tells me and the rest of us all about you as a person. I'm sorry!
It sorry it took so long to write in reply to your missive. My wife had some surgery. So now we get to know all about breast cancer.
But most of all, Leo, I'm sorry you can not seem to have compassion for your enemy. I'm sorry that you can not see the simple truth that if we torture them, then they will feel free to torture us. I'm sorry that you can not seem to see that we are supposed to be the good guys and wear the white hats. But Leo, about you, I'm sorry. Just sorry about you!
