The Reynolds Tobacco Company has developed a new product that will be introduced in our area soon. The product is called Camel SNUS. Part of Reynolds' strategy is to attract smokers and nonsmokers by using the promotional phrase, "Pleasure for Whenever," to suggest a tobacco product that can be used in nonsmoking environments.

This is an aggressive marketing campaign of new snus products that may lead to further enticement of our youth, who later may "graduate" to smoking. Even though SNUS is not associated with lung cancer since it is not inhaled, studies show an increase in pancreatic cancer and heart disease from SNUS customers.

Please encourage our youth to not begin to use tobacco products and those that are using to realize the enormous health problems associated with tobacco use.

For information to stop smoking or using tobacco products, contact Wyoming Quitnet: wy.quitnet.com or call 1-800-784-8669. The Great American Smokeout is Nov. 19, and you can call Wyoming Quitnet to set a date to quit tobacco products!
