Maybe only one public option left

Open letter to Sens. Mike Enzi and John Barrasso:

There exists a certain misconception you have about how the voters view your current stand on the health care reform issue and your attempts to torpedo any meaningful reform some of your associates are advocating.

Voting Democrats and moderate Republicans have been keen on a public option for some time. Some brave congressmen and senators have kept their hand on the public pulse and realize a solid public option is needed. Both of you claim to not support a public option and your actions speak volumes on this issue.

Unfortunately in Wyoming over 80 percent of the insured population are covered under just two of the major insurers. How can you explain the fact one of your previous policy directors now works as a lobbyist for one of these firms? How can you say you are looking out for us when you receive large campaign contributions from the insurance companies who have failed to self-regulate?

Judging by the current grumbling and questions being raised by us back home, you have lost touch out there in Washington. Could be the only option left to the public will be to put you both out to pasture come election time.
