Do teachers need tutors?

The recent letter by Leo Sanchez, a former educator, makes one wonder what all he taught our kids. One would normally expect a little more honesty rather than the B.S. he dispensed. He makes Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina look like a piker.

Your headline, "Enzi not supporting the Baucus Bill," could have been written the day he joined the Gang of Six.

I was always pleased to have been involved in the building of the outer belt road. With all the new stop lights being installed and planned, the name should be bottleneck or Christmas tree lane (red and green lights).

I'm with Jack Rosenthal, where's all the education money going? It certainly doesn't show up in educational results. Could some of the problem be that our educators, as I've heard, have tutors? If they need tutors, why are they teaching?

It seems to me that we have an unusual number of administrators and support staff. Could someone please advise the taxpayers what the ratio of teachers to support staff is. I asked the Answer Girl as well as the school board and have seen no response.

We often hear of the federal debt we are leaving our kids and grandkids. What about all the debt the school board is leaving to those same kids with screwball enhancements they are approving for new schools?

With Wyoming having the reputation of being very conservative, I often wonder why it doesn't filter down to the city council. They seem to always have plenty of money for any thing the chamber or downtowners want.

Rather than tearing up perfectly good streets (Beech-Collins, etc.) and screwing up traffic more than it is, the city should leave those reserves alone. With declining tax revenue, the city may need those bucks for potholes instead of the usual fluff. Council goal funds and community events sound just like congressional set asides.
