Re: "Controversy stalks wolf hunt," Star-Tribune, Oct. 29.
Surprise, surprise, surprise! Other places don't care for the forced acceptance of the wolf. Us Wyoming mountain folks are not the only renegades who do not bend to the liberal environmental pressure that seems to be in control of both our Forest Service and our Game & Fish Commission.
It seems that the dumb people, in the opinion of all the so-called experts, no nothing about what wolves will do when left to their own freedom. As we can see when our own Game and Fish refuse to admit that the largest reason for our depleting herds is our wandering wolves, who don't stay where they're supposed to. I believe the environmentalists knew this, but they know they can bring lawsuits and liberal judges from California, etc., who will grant them more area for expanding packs. They are not interested in the wolves' welfare or the quality of life of any animal, only in the power to dictate how our forest and game are managed. Their ultimate goal is to stop all hunting, ATV riding, snow machining, logging, etc., by the peasant class. Then they can have it all to themselves and their rich clientele to enjoy.
There is one big question I would like answered: Way back when some misinformed person or persons came up with the idea to play God and reintroduce species which had been taken out of the ecosystem back into it, it was believed the reintroduction was to be in Yellowstone, which has a boundary, and everyone believed that would be the boundary. Why do we all of a sudden have references to Wyoming, Montana and Idaho as being the Yellowstone ecosystem? When we get these three states full of wolves, what do we do, incorporate Colorado, Utah, North and South Dakota into the Yellowstone ecosystem also?
You see what makes so many people upset is that the liberal mind set does not include coexistence with any other group. They keep pushing for more and more control until they are completely in charge and no other group exists.
One more short note to express my thanks to the Game and Fish for our latest bear relocation into our back yard. I am very happy to know we are once again able to relieve the poor people of Cody from their "pesky" bears!
