On behalf of Cowboys Against Cancer, our committee members and all our volunteers, we extend a great big wonderful thank you! Last Saturday evening (Nov. 7), over $323,000 was raised for our friends and neighbors who are undergoing cancer treatments outside of our county. It is truly unbelievable to see the incredible generosity of everyone from individuals to businesses and industry.

A special thanks to our chefs and Nicholas Foods. For the last 10 years, they have donated and prepared such a delicious gourmet dinner! And Al Harris, you are the best emcee that anyone could hope for. Your skills, your sense of humor and love for your family and friends help to make the annual fundraiser a memorable, successful and downright fun event!

We will never forget our dignitaries and volunteers selling bananas during our raffle, either. Who would have guessed that Sweetwater County has so many fruit lovers?

To everyone who helped and participated in this year’s event, your support and generosity of spirit will enable Cowboys Against Cancer to help even more throughout this next year -- Thank you!
