Editor:
In response to Mr. Jerry York of Lander.
If you believe it only takes money to create wealth, but not the intelligence and labor which create the reality, then you are a Republican.
If you espouse patriotic values, but are willing to move your company offshore to avoid paying your fair share of taxes, and yell for the protection of the nation's laws and military when it all goes wrong, then you are a Republican.
If you believe it is an art form to game the system and fill politician's pockets with dollars, so the rules can be written in your favor and there are not shared responsibilities in a civil society, you must be Republican.
If you believe that paying a living wage, providing a safe working environment, health care and retirement benefits are not part of a fair contract with the labor that creates your wealth, but a socialist plot, then you are a Republican.
If you believe securing our borders is a secondary concern to maintaining a ready source of cheap labor, you must be a Republican.
If you believe in the power of deregulation to the point that power grids fail, and major corporations can create Ponzi schemes to loot shareholder value, employee pensions, and leave the taxpayer with the bill, you are a Republican.
If you believe the consequences of massive federal deficits aren't your creation or problem, then you're a Republican.
If you believe it is all yours to use, and let those who follow clean up the mess, you must be a Republican.
As I stand in the middle of a family line of five generations of military service to this nation, what I also know is the poor man fights the rich man's wars - guess whose party?
