Editor:
In reference to letters to the editor concerning Barack Obama. I wonder why people are so upset with Obama. The tribes have had to put up with presidents for over 200 years.
What's wrong with giving African-American farmers money? Would you feel upset if those farmers were white? If so, it looks like you might be racist.
Now German/Russian Americans want to get compensated. Have any of them thought about their country, before their own interests?
If the tribes acted like these immigrants asking to be compensated, we would have broken our country, like all those bankers and stock market investors. But instead the tribes thought of our country. Remember what John F. Kennedy said: "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."
