Bridger-Teton revision workshops

* The Bridger-Teton National Forest invites the public to get involved in the revision of the Bridger-Teton Forest Plan. The objective of these workshops is to present information that Forest personnel have collected over recent months concerning current conditions throughout the Forest, and learn what the public sees as the "Need for Change." Tonight's workshop will be held from 6-9:30 p.m. at Jackson High School, 1910 W. High School Rd., in Jackson. Panic Relief Inc.

* A panic and anxiety group is now forming in Newcastle, featuring programs every Monday from noon-1 p.m. and every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The program is geared to help anyone suffering from panic, anxiety, and agoraphobia to cope with these disorders. Info: (732) 940-9658.

* Nov. 30, 7 p.m., Donovin Sprague, director of the Crazy Horse Memorial, will discuss, "Crazy Horse, the Lakota and Native Sovereignty," in the College of Education auditorium. A blues guitar performance by Brandon Sprague will follow the lecture. Admission is free.

* Nov. 30-Dec. 3, the UW Theatre and Dance Department hosts a performance of "The Nutcracker" each night at 7:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at the College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Tickets are $16, $13 for seniors and $8 for students.

* Dec. 2, from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m., the University of Wyoming Art Museum will host its Annual Happy Holidays, Laramie! and the Festival of Trees. The event features musical performances, artwork, art-making activities, refreshments and more. Admission is free.

* Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 3 at 3 p.m., the University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra will present the Gala Holiday Concert in the Fine Arts Center concert hall. Tickets are $6 for students and $7 for seniors and the general public.

* Dec. 5, 5 p.m., the University of Wyoming String Academy presents the String Project Concert in the College of Education auditorium. Admission is free.

* Dec. 7, 7 p.m., the band Sterling Waters will perform in UW's Wyoming Union Skylight Lounge. Admission is free.

Dessert and a movie

* Nov. 30, 7 p.m., "Salt of the Earth," a film about the lives of Mexican miners and their families during a New Mexico zinc mine strike for social and economic justice will be shown in the Large meeting room of the Albany County Public Library, 310 S. Lander Community Concert Association

* The 60th Anniversary Season of the Lander Community Concert Association continues with each performance being held in the Lander Valley High School auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. Season subscription tickets are $40 for adults, $15 for students (age 21 and under), and $90 for a family (two adults and affiliated students 21 and under). Chariot racing

* Dec. 2-4, the Third Annual Horseshoe Valley Invitational Chariot Races will be held at the track three miles south of Glendo on Highway 319 with racers from Colorado and Wyoming competing for the best combined time. Activities will begin Friday evening with a calcutta at 7 p.m. at Diamond A's Lounge in Glendo with races starting at noon on Saturday, followed by a cash bar at 6 p.m. and an evening pig roast at 7 p.m. in the town of Oasis located nine miles south of Glendo on Highway 319. Sheridan Memorial Hospital event

* Dec. 3, 4:30 p.m., the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will host a tree lighting of the Christmas Trees of Love in the hospital lobby. There will be a short program and refreshments provided. Art Show and Open House

Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra

* The Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra presents its 2006-07 season entitled, "A World of Color," celebrating the brilliant colors that great composers use in creating masterpieces. Women in Black

* First Wednesday of each month, from noon-1 p.m., meet in front of the courthouse on Center and B Streets. All who share a concern for a just and peaceful world are invited to join this silent vigil. If you come please dress in black, stand in silence (no marching, banners, or confrontations), stay on the sidewalk, don't block walkers or cars, and respond to questions.

Parent-education seminars

* The Wyoming Children's Access Network provides parent-education seminars for divorcing, separated and never-married parents. The seminar is provided monthly in Casper, Cheyenne, Cody, Gillette, Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Rawlins, Rock Springs, Sheridan and Torrington and provides information about the impact of parental conflict on children and teaches the parents skills to help with the difficult transition. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and other adults close to the children are welcome to attend as well.There is a nominal fee for the seminar that may be waived upon request, based on need. Fiber Arts show

Wyoming Arts Council exhibition

* The Wyoming Arts Council will host a new exhibition, "Coil & Weave," featuring the talents of artists Ann Arndt and Jennifer Rife. Art exhibition opens in Ucross

* The Deborah Ford photography exhibition, "Common Ground/Symbiotic Equivalence," will be on display through Dec. 15 at the Ucross Foundation Art Gallery, 30 Big Red Lane. The exhibit presents 38 framed images of land and life-forms that Ford photographed in Wyoming, Arizona, Minnesota and Oregon. UW art exhibition

* The University of Wyoming Art Museum, in the Centennial Complex at 22nd and Willett Dr., will display paintings from the exhibition, "The Taos Society of Artists, 1915-1927," through Dec. 22. The Taos Society is a group of 12 artists that paint the land and the people of northern New Mexico. Big Horn museum hosts exhibition

* The Bradford Brinton Memorial & Museum's 16th Annual Holiday Show presents the one-person show entitled, "Bridger Konkel - A Year Afield," which will run through Dec. 23. The show is comprised of 58 oil paintings by 21 year-old Bridger Konkel, the youngest artist ever to be granted a one-person show at the museum.
