UW events
* The fifth annual Martin Luther King Jr. Days of Dialogue concludes Jan. 20 at the University of Wyoming: Noon-6 p.m., Wyoming Union Family Room. Various movies will be screened during "Civil Rights on the Silver Screen." From 9:30 p.m.-midnight in Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom and Family Room, "Friday Night Fever! A Community Celebration" is presented in cooperation with the Indian and Asian Pacific Islander student organizations. Henna tattoos and a sushi-making demonstration will take place in the union's lower level. The movie "Crash" will be shown at 6:30, 9 and 11:30 p.m. A ping-pong tournament, free billiards, and X-Boxes will be offered. Throughout the week, a book display, "Reading the Revolution," will be in Coe Library; and "Creative Expressions of Our Beloved Community," Albany County student art and essays, will be exhibited in Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom. * Wyoming high-school students will participate in the American Mathematics Competition 10/12 from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Feb. 15 in the Wyoming Union Family Room. Campbell County Parks and Recreation
* One-day ski trips to Deer Mountain Ski Area will be offered from 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Jan. 21 and Feb. 4 and 11. Qualified recreation staff members will accompany attendees and Powder River Transportation will be the service provider. A variety of lift ticket, equipment and ride packages are available, including a limited number of snowboard packages.
* The inaugural Cloud Peak Challenge on a Treadmill will take place at 8 a.m. Jan. 21 in the Rec Center cardio room. Participants will run, walk, or crawl on a treadmill set at a 15 percent incline for 15 minutes. The athlete covering the most mileage during that time will be crowned Cloud Peak champion. Four treadmills will be used throughout the morning. Divisions include male and female ages 20 and under; 21-30; 31-40; 41-50; and 50 and older. An overall champion also will be crowned. Registration fee is $5.

* Jan. 21-Feb. 18, 2-4 p.m., Professional dance instructors Linda and Joe Fabian will lead classes in Cheyenne Two-Step for singles and couples ages 16 and older. Lessons are geared for beginner and intermediate dancers. Cost is $25 for museum members and $30 for non-members; space is limited. Story and craft time for children will be offered during lessons.
