Guard town meetings
* Wyoming National Guard has scheduled town meetings around the state to bring together military personnel, community members, legislators, retirees, and families. Unless otherwise noted, all meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the town armories. Tuesday, Gillette; Wednesday, Sheridan; Thursday, Cody; Friday, Worland.
Postage stamp issuance
* Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., Memorial Hospital of Converse County, Douglas. The U.S. Postal Service and MHCC unveil the "Child Health" postage stamp; the 37-cent stamp also will be available nationwide that day. Refreshments will be served; a puppet show and emergency-vehicle tours will be offered for children.
Foster care/adoption conference
* Thursday and Friday, Little America, Cheyenne. Wyoming State Adoption Council sponsors a statewide conference on creating sexual safety and a healing environment for children in foster care and adoptive homes. The "Helping Children Heal" Conference is especially designed for social workers, mental health professionals, daycare providers, and foster and adoptive parents.
