* The Third Annual Horseshoe Valley Invitational Chariot Races will be held today at the track three miles south of Glendo on Highway 319 with racers from Colorado and Wyoming competing for the best combined time. Meet & greet with legislators

* Dec. 14, from 6-8:30 p.m., AARP Wyoming and its Riverton Community Advocacy Team invite all Fremont County residents to Riverton's City Hall to meet the legislators who will represent them at the State Capitol. Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra

Panic Relief Inc.

Women in Black

* First Wednesday of each month, from noon-1 p.m., meet in front of the courthouse on Center and B Streets. All who share a concern for a just and peaceful world are invited to join this silent vigil. If you come please dress in black, stand in silence (no marching, banners, or confrontations), stay on the sidewalk, don't block walkers or cars, and respond to questions.

Parent-education seminars

* The Wyoming Children's Access Network provides parent-education seminars for divorcing, separated and never-married parents. The seminar is provided monthly in Casper, Cheyenne, Cody, Gillette, Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Rawlins, Rock Springs, Sheridan and Torrington and provides information about the impact of parental conflict on children and teaches the parents skills to help with the difficult transition. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and other adults close to the children are welcome to attend as well.There is a nominal fee for the seminar that may be waived upon request, based on need. Wyoming Arts Council exhibition

* The Wyoming Arts Council will host a new exhibition, "Coil & Weave," featuring the talents of artists Ann Arndt and Jennifer Rife. Art exhibition opens in Ucross

* The Deborah Ford photography exhibition, "Common Ground/Symbiotic Equivalence," will be on display through Dec. 15 at the Ucross Foundation Art Gallery, 30 Big Red Lane. UW art exhibition

* The University of Wyoming Art Museum, in the Centennial Complex at 22nd and Willett Dr., will display paintings from the exhibition, "The Taos Society of Artists, 1915-1927," through Dec. 22. The Taos Society is a group of 12 artists that paint the land and the people of northern New Mexico. Big Horn museum hosts exhibition

* The Bradford Brinton Memorial & Museum's 16th Annual Holiday Show presents the one-person show entitled, "Bridger Konkel - A Year Afield," which will run through Dec. 23. The show is comprised of 58 oil paintings by 21 year-old Bridger Konkel, the youngest artist ever to be granted a one-person show at the museum.
