SUNNY VALLEY, Ore. (AP) - Two foster parents from Southern Oregon are facing charges of sexually abusing at least three children in their care, police said.

The case began when Josephine County deputies found a 13-year-old runaway last Sunday; the girl told them she'd left home to escape being sexually abused by her foster father, Greg Miller.

According to police, Miller and his wife Colleen were the adoptive parents of seven children between the ages seven and 15, who had been adopted from state agencies in Colorado and Utah within the past five years.

Detectives interviewed the children and learned that Greg Miller had alleged sexual intercourse with three of the female children, a 13-year-old and two 15-year-olds, officials said.

Colleen Miller allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old male child, police said. Deputies also believe she sodomized a 15-year-old female, officials said.

Detectives also were told that Greg Miller wed one of his foster daughters in a mock wedding ceremony at the family home, complete with wedding cake, a ring and a white dress, officials said.

Colleen Miller allegedly encouraged sexual relations between all seven of the children, according to a report in the Mail-Tribune newspaper of Medford. Statements from several of the children indicated that sexual contact between them occurred on a regular basis within the home, police said.

A search of the home Monday produced evidence supporting the children's' claims, according to police. Detectives found pornographic pictures, movies, marital-aid devices and the wedding dress reportedly worn by the 15-year-old girl, police said.

Police arrested Greg Miller Monday in Grants Pass. They tracked Colleen Miller to Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and arrested her on Wednesday. Her statements so far have implicated both of their involvement in the alleged abuse, police said.

Greg Miller is being held in the Josephine County Jail on three counts of rape. Colleen Miller remains in custody in Tennessee and is facing rape and sodomy charges.

The children were taken into custody by the Oregon Department of Human Services, where they will remain during the investigation.
