WASHINGTON (AP) - All three members of Wyoming's congressional delegation have been issued subpoenas in an Illinois lawsuit.
According to aides to Rep. Barbara Cubin and Sens. Craig Thomas and Mike Enzi, the subpoenas relate to a Wyoming meeting their congressional staff held several years ago with Hi-Tech Bed Systems, a Wheatland, Wyo., company that has sued a steel products company over patent infringement.
KLN Steel Products Company, Ltd. issued the subpoenas. Hi-Tech, an industrial bed-maker, is suing that company over beds designed for use at an Illinois military facility.
"The steel company has sent a subpoena asking for any information we might have related to this bed company," said Coy Knobel, spokesman for Enzi.
Knobel and Cameron Hardy, spokesman for Thomas, said both of their offices have referred the matter to the Senate legal counsel.
Tom Wiblemo, Cubin's chief of staff, said her office has forwarded the matter to the House general counsel's office.
