RIVERTON -- The Fremont County Sheriff's office is asking the community for help in solving a break-in to a Shoshoni bank's automated teller machine.

Law enforcement officials aren't saying how much was stolen from the Atlantic City Federal Credit Union at 1:15 a.m. on Sept. 14, but described the amount as substantial.

A passing motorist who saw the property damage reported the burglary about 7 that morning.

Officials have released still images from the bank's surveillance tape in hopes that someone can identify the thieves.

Fremont County Sheriff's Sgt. Jerry Evagelatos said only a few minutes of the break-in of the ATM were caught on tape before the camera was knocked out of service by the suspects.

He said no gender has been attached to either suspect. The money cassette shown in the photos may also be recognizable. He described the metal box as 5 inches high, 10 inches wide and 16 inches deep. He said it was secured on one side with a barrel lock and has a handle on the closed end for easy carry.

Reports regarding the incident can be made anonymously by calling the Fremont County Sheriff's office at 307-856-7200.
