GREEN RIVER, Wyo. (AP) - A couple whose first-grade son was seriously injured in a fall off a slide has sued the school district here.

Shane A. Cantrell, 7, fractured his skull when he fell 10 feet off the slide at Washington Elementary on Jan. 23, 2003, according to the district court lawsuit.

He suffered a concussion and accompanying vomiting, severe headaches and confusion. His parents, Kevin and Lori Cantrell, say their son has since had permanent attention deficits, poor impulse regulation and short-term memory impairment.

The Cantrells claim that Shane was not properly supervised and the district did not provide a safe playground for him. They are seeing $25,000 for past and future health costs, plus any other relief the court deems appropriate.
