Parenting skills

* The Wyoming Children's Access Network provides parent-education seminars for divorcing, separated and never-married parents. The one-time 4-hour seminar is offered monthly in Casper, Cheyenne, Cody, Gillette, Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Rawlins, Rock Springs, Sheridan and Torrington. The seminar provides information on the impact of parental conflict on children and teaches parents skills to help with the difficult transition. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other adults close to the children are welcome to attend as well. A nominal fee is charged; based on need, the fee may be waived upon request. Workshop

* Worlds of Music: Community Development through Music presents a weeklong vocal workshop, open to anyone interested in singing, at 7 p.m. Jan. 30-Feb. 3 in the Clear Creek School band room, 58 N. Facilitator is choir director Daniel Steinberg, founder of the World Harmony Chorus, which operates under the auspices of the Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View, Calif.

Public meetings

* The Bureau of Land Management's Rawlins Field Office will host two public meetings to gather comments and inform interested persons about the Atlantic Rim Coalbed Natural Gas Development Draft Environmental Impact Statement and the Seminoe Road Gas Development EIS. Both meetings will be in the Jeffrey Center, Third and Spruce streets, Rawlins; and feature an open house from 5-7 p.m.; followed by the hearing from 7-8 p.m.

* Atlantic Rim Draft EIS meeting, Feb. 2. Written comments will be accepted until Feb. 17.

* Seminoe Road EIS meeting, Feb. 23. Written comments have been extended a month and will be accepted until March 3.

Campbell County Parks and Recreation

* One-day ski trips to Deer Mountain Ski Area will be offered from 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Feb. 4 and 11. Qualified recreation staff members will accompany attendees and Powder River Transportation will be the service provider. A variety of lift ticket, equipment and ride packages are available, including a limited number of snowboard packages.
