U.S. Rep. Barbara Cubin broke her foot while visiting her husband at the Wyoming Medical Center on Saturday, and the Wyoming Republican ended up in a hospital bed herself.
"My husband and I certainly try to do everything together, but being hospitalized together was not too high on my to-do list," Cubin said in a release.
Doctors have not decided whether to perform surgery on Cubin's left foot, which was broken in three places when she fell.
Dr. Frederick "Fritz" Cubin has been in and out of the hospital over the last six months after being diagnosed with thrombocytopenia, which causes sufferers to have a deficient number of circulating blood platelets. He was most recently admitted to the Casper hospital Wednesday.
