KEMMERER - A Mass of Christian Burial for Max Lee "Gringo" Borino, 67, will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, March 29, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Kemmerer. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m., today, also at St. Patrick's, with a viewing from 6 p.m. until the Rosary rites.

He died March 24, 2004, with family at his bedside.

Born Aug. 30, 1936, in Diamondville, he was the son of Tony and Rebecca (Hatten) Borino.

He was a member of Lincoln County Search and Rescue, Commissary Commandos, Eagles, and the Kemmerer Volunteer Fire Department. He served in the U.S Navy and received an honorable discharge from that service. Although he saw much of the world by sea, he preferred the hills and mountains of Wyoming.

Having a great love for the outdoors and a passion for life, he enjoyed scuba diving, snowmobiling, camping, hunting, fishing, and the playing of cribbage and poker. He also enjoyed listening to music and especially the cherished company of family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; his daughter Paula and her husband; his son Max and his wife; a granddaughter; his parents; a sister, Karen and her husband; and an abundance of friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor can be made to the Scholarship Fund at Community First National Bank in Kemmerer.

Arrangements are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
