GREEN RIVER - Funeral Services for Hershel S. Praytor Jr., 46, will be held at 1 p.m., today, Jan. 9, 2008, at the Vase Flaming Gorge Chapel. Friends may call at the Vase Flaming Gorge Chapel today from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services. Interment will be held at the Riverview Cemetery.

He died Jan. 6, 2008, at the Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

He was born on Feb. 25, 1961, in Neubuecke, Germany, the son of the late Hershel S. Praytor and Ursula Zinsmeister Praytor.

He attended schools in Rock Springs.

He worked as a tool pusher, starting in the oil and gas industry since he was 14 years old.

His interests included fishing, riding four-wheelers and Harleys, snow machines, hunting. He was a friend and proud parent. He never met a stranger and had a wonderful sense of humor.

He is survived by his mother, Ursula Zombro and husband of Laughlin, Nev.; daughter, Madison R. Praytor of Green River; brothers, Roger V. Praytor and David Andrew Praytor, both of Florida; sister, Donna Biart and husband of Weatherford, Texas; estranged wife, Barbara Praytor of Green River; grandchild, Lexi Moses of Rock Springs; former wife and cherished friend, Casey Callahan-Hager and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and son, Michael Moses.

The family respectfully suggest that donations in his memory be made to the Hershel S. Praytor Memorial Fund C/O the Rock Springs National Bank, P.O. Box 880, Rock Springs, WY 82902.
