CASPER — Lightning caused a 211-acre wildfire in a remote area southeast of Casper, a fire now completely contained by firefighters.

Fire spokesman Aaron Voos says the fire was contained on Monday.

Lightning caused the fire, which burned pine but didn't fair well in moist grass and sagebrush, a U.S. Forest Service investigation showed.

Firefighters were conducting mop-up operations on Tuesday.
