CHEYENNE -- Light snow is causing slippery travel conditions in southeast Wyoming, especially in the Laramie area.

Sections of Interstate 80 were snow covered, wet and slick between Rawlins and Cheyenne on Friday morning. However, the interstate is open.

Snow also slowed traffic on Interstate 25 just north of Cheyenne.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Laramie Range area of southeast Wyoming through Friday. Up to 9 inches of snow is possible for the mountains.
