PINEDALE -- The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says some additional elk hunting opportunities are opening up, thanks to private landowners and the state's Access Yes program.

The hunts are available for some limited quota license holders -- but not those with general elk licenses -- in three Hunter Management Areas near Big Piney, Daniel and Boulder.

Under the Access Yes program, private landowners enter an agreement with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department to allow access to eligible hunters.

Other states, including Idaho and Montana, have similar programs.
