A Casper woman, Marty Robinson, has reached a benchmark in charitable giving — she’s donated 30 gallons of blood. And she has no plans to stop now. Robinson has donated blood more than 245 times, helping over 700 patients in need. What an amazing contribution to her local community.
A bird scientist in Casper started a research project this month aimed at tracking saw-whet owls on Casper Mountain. Zach Hutchinson, community naturalist with Audubon Rockies, aims to learn more about the population of northern saw-whet owls in the area, as there is little data on the birds in this region. The information he gathers will be shared with a nationwide effort to collect data about the species.
The new ski lodge on Casper Mountain’s Hogadon Ski Area is hosting its open house today. The new lodge aims to streamline the rental and ski pass process, as well as offer an improved environment for winter sports enthusiasts (or even warm weather outdoorsmen) to spend their time off the slopes. We’re looking forward to seeing the new lodge in action.
