Editor:

I am writing because of my concern for our nation. By this time, the vast majority of Americans accept the fact that the Russians interfered with our 2016 elections. This action by our sworn enemy is tantamount to an act of war.

What we do not know: did any Americans collude with the Russians (treason?), how did the Russians interfere and how do we prevent the recurrence, and did the interference have any measurable impact on the results? There are a ton of opinions; we need facts, just the facts.

Special counsel Robert Mueller (a lifelong Republican) is looking into these (and possibly other) issues. It is an issue of national sovereignty. There are Senate and House committees looking into this as well. And of course 99 thousand news people!

My main point of this letter: I have sent several emails to each Sen. Enzi and Sen. Barrasso. I have requested their opinions on this issue. I have received return email declaring their support of a free and independent United States. I have not received indication of their support for the probe by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. I have a difficult time understanding how you can support the concept but not the actions in progress. I have asked both of them to put this support onto their websites and include it in their newsletters. They have not.

Why not?

Are they putting a partisan connection to their political party before their allegiance to the United States of America? Are they afraid of offending some of the die-hard deniers? Is Barrasso concerned about the challenge from another candidate from his party in the upcoming 2018 election?

I think the people of Wyoming need to get a declarative statement from our federal representation on where they stand on this probe of Russian interference in our elections by Robert Mueller.

Thanks,

MARK ANDERSON, Wheatland
