Editor:

I have watched with sorrow as outside money is funneled into Casper City politics to besmirch the reputation of our city which has long been an acknowledged model of tolerance, equality and community fellowship. All at once we are being inundated by radio advertisements which would have the listener believe that bigotry is rampant in our city and in its businesses. Strangers to our state and city are tapping the coffers of entities of the likes of the ACLU and other liberal sowers of turmoil, confusion and hatred who have replaced our City Council's elected members and seized upon issues heretofore unknown and alien to Wyoming and unrepresentative of the electorate of our city and state as they flood Casper with their their bags of cash to sway the members of our City Council to ignore their oaths of office and turn over the function of city government to the monied interests of left wing east and west coast progressives. I take no interest on issues presently to be presented to the council but ask you all: Isn't it time to make some changes and institute partisan elections for City Council?
