Editor:

In the case of Andrew Johnson, the man who served 24 years because of a false accusation, why is his accuser not responsible for his welfare. I would think that she should have to provide him with, at the very least, food, housing and other basic necessities. I believe the Legislature should pass a law stating that anybody that knowingly falsely accuses another should receive the same sentence no matter whether the false accuser is a woman or a man. Maybe this would cause some people to think twice before making a false accusation.
